Secret Circle, the rap group featuring Antwon, Lil Ugly Mane, and Wiki, is no more, according to a statement posted on Lil Ugly Mane's Instagram account on Thursday.
The group's upcoming album and shows are all cancelled, Ugly Mane wrote in his letter, which suggests an acrimonious split for the band. “The songs we made don’t mean shit anymore,” he writes. "My heart is broken.”
The statement also alludes to the potential of a soon-to-emerge story that could reveal the reason behind Secret Circle’s split: “I’m glad it’s all gonna be out in the open. I would never want to be a part of anything that hurt anyone or be aligned or associated with this fucking bullshit.”
On Friday morning, Wiki posted a tweet apparently referencing the split. "Actions have consequences and there's just some shit you can't stand by," he wrote. "Do the right thing, even when it may be hard."
Secret Circle released a handful of tracks since emerging in 2016, and played shows across North America.
The FADER has reached out to Antwon and Wiki's representatives for comment.
