SZA made her return to live performance on Tuesday night during the TDE tour stop at New York's Madison Square Garden. The show might not have gone to plan, however, with SZA later tweeting (then deleting) that her voice is "permanently injured."

The tweets, which were captured by Vulture, were ported immediately after the MSG show ended. SZA said “My voice is permanently injured." She later added: “Tonight was the test. That settles that. 👍🏾” and “I jus wanna be left alone my priorities are fucked up. They been fucked up. I need space goodbye.” The FADER has reached out for comment.

In an Instagram post last week, TDE founder Top Dawg revealed that SZA was suffering with swollen vocal cords and would take a break from the tour with label mates Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q. SZA explained in a separate statement that she has been using steroids to stay on the road in recent months.
