J Hus to face trial on knife charge
The U.K. artist will go on trial in London this December.
J Hus will face trial in London after denying possession of a knife in a public place, The Guardian reports.
Hus appeared at Snaresbrook crown court on Friday, July 20 where he pleaded not guilty to the single charge. He was released on bail and will attend a pre-trial review on November 15. A trial will then follow during the week of December 10.
The London-based artist, real name Momodou Jallow, was arrested on June 21 on suspicion of being in possession of a knife or bladed article. His vehicle was pulled over by a marked police car in Stratford, east London.
In a now-deleted Instagram post on Sunday, July 22, the U.K. artists suggested that he was expecting a prison sentence when he faces trial in December.
