The Weeknd, Janet Jackson, and Cardi B will headline this year's Global Citizen Festival in New York. The September 29 event will also include performances from John Legend, Janelle Monáe, and Shawn Mendes.
Hosted by Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness, the one-day event will be held on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Tickets are free and available to those who register as Global Citizens via this site or by downloading the Global Citizen app. Ticket draws will occur throughout the summer.
Those without tickets will be able to watch the festival live on MSNBC or via Facebook and Twitter, where performances will be livestreamed.
This year's event will see Global Citizen demand that world leaders fulfill their obligation to achieve the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development and end extreme poverty by 2030.
