BTS break historical YouTube record with “Idol” video
Taylor Swift previously held the record for most streams in a 24-hour time period.
Last week BTS went big, releasing a video for new single "Idol" alongside a separate remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Both dropped on the same day as their latest album Love Yourself: Answer. It seems that the group's incredibly devoted fan army were paying attention as the "Idol" video has broken a YouTube record previously held by Taylor Swift.
According to Billboard, the "Idol" video has set the YouTube record for most views in 24 hours with 45m views. Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” was the previous record holder with 43.2m. At the time of writing the "Idol" video has a massive 91m views. You can check it out above.
