Born in Canada to Colombian parents, Jessie Reyez took her first significant step towards a music career once she was accepted and enrolled into the The Remix Project's Academy of Recording Arts in Toronto in 2014. Since then, her smoky voice has won her the 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist and features on several big songs with Calvin Harris and Eminem. She's also preparing for a new project, Being Human in Public.
In the midst of a busy 2018, Jessie took some time to tackle some of life's most difficult questions in The FADER's Would You Rather series. This week's questions include:
1. Be the mayor of Toronto vs. Have a Tim Hortons in your basement
2. Mute men on all social media vs. Have women run the music industry
3. Teleport vs. Be invisible
4. Be best friends with Bob Marley vs. Amy Winehouse
