Eminem has claimed the ninth No. 1 album of his career with Kamikaze, Billboard reports. The suprirse album debuted at No. 1 and earned 434,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 6, according to Nielsen Music.
This makes Kamikaze the fourth fastest selling album of 2018 so far. Only Drake's Scorpion (732,000), Travis Scott's Astroworld, and Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys (461,000) sold more in their first weeks.
Kamikaze’s 434,000 units is a significant improvement on Eminem’s last album, Revival, which entered at No. 1 with 267,000 units in January of this year. The album is the ninth No.1 of Eminem's career, a number that puts him on level-pegging with Garth Brooks and The Rolling Stones.
