After spending summer 2018 crossing multiple milestones with his fifth studio album Scorpion, on Monday Billboard reported that Drake's standout single — and FADER's Song of the Summer — "In My Feelings" has helped him break yet another record.
Drake has officially passed Usher as the artist with the most weeks (29) atop the Hot 100 in a single year after "In My Feelings" claimed the top spot for the tenth week in a row. The feat comes with help from impressive chart performances by Drake's other 2018 singles, "God's Plan," and "Nice For What."
"In My Feelings" began its reign atop the Hot 100 earlier this summer, taking over "Nice For What," which also comes off Scorpion. The song also gained considerable attention from comedian Shiggy's now viral #InMyFeelingsChallenge — so much so that Drake thanked the comedian, and brought him on tour.
This year, Drake also topped all artists in first week album sales, set the world record for most single-day streams on Apple Music with Scorpion, and was, at one point, being streamed over 10 million times an hour on Spotify.
