IV Jay wants the clout chasers to leave her alone in new “Thirsty” video
Off her upcoming debut EP, IV.
Singer-songwriter IV Jay, one of Atlantic's newest signees, makes pop-leaning R&B propped up by sultry vocals. She's recently shared a string of new singles that are leading up to the release of her debut EP, IV, out October 19. Today, she's debuting the music video for one of the singles, "Thirsty." A confident and subtle flex, the smooth track calls out all the desperate boys hitting up her phone and politely asks them to "please, just leave me alone!" In the Jora Francis-directed video, IV Jay is dressed in all white dancing in an ornate cathedral, and being pursued by shadowy crow-people. It's giving me major YA fantasy novel vibes (my favorite genre), and I'm here for it.
“I’m so excited to finally drop my video for 'Thirsty!,'" Jay wrote via email. "Since this is my first music video, I really wanted to start off strong creatively. I wanted to make this video something my fans would never forget and really set the tone for my upcoming project.”
