Chicago producer BoatHouse and “Illinois boy” Jack Larsen team up on “Decision,” out now via their shared label Closed Sessions. It’s sad-rap-singing over that classic Soundcloud wvwvwvwOOOO bass, a dovetail of a handful of scenes that sounds so natural and pretty.

“This song came about at a time when I was struggling to understand what I want from my career,” BoatHouse said. “Jack is a few years younger than me but his energy reminded me of when I was younger and wide eyed about the creation of music and not so sidetracked by the distractions of life. Life doesn’t stop, relationships happen, you might have writer’s block for a month, but as artists we make the decision to not let it stop us from creating and keep going.”
