Earlier this year, I heard and swiftly became obsessed with BigBreadJrock and 60ShotBlake's "86ZoeAnthem," a legit banger straight outta the Eastern Seabord.
Turns out they have waaaay more in the bag. Today, the Hartford, Connecticut rappers are back with "Go Bestie 242," a similarly hard-hitting track perfect for a curbside dance-off and complete with a Soulja Boy reference. Which makes perfect sense given that their sound is adjacent to the yanking/freaking it movement, a regional, Connecticut-originated dance style whose more recent iterations are often associated with the late rapper Gangstalicious.
“We don’t rap for us, we rap for Zoe, we do this for the Squad. 'Go Bestie' is another example of how two different generations of Hartford can come together and make 'freakin it' live on through us," says Big Bread Jrock.
Watch the clip above and get to freaking it.
