Issa Rae has signed up to star in American Princess, a new rom-com set in London. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Insecure creator will play a woman who moves to London and is "drawn into a world of wealth and high society and falls in love in a very unexpected way." The actor playing her love interest is currently unknown.
American Princess will be directed by Stella Meghi and produced by Paul Feig, whose credits include Bridesmaids and this summer's A Simple Favor. The script, meanwhile, was written by Insecure executive producer Amy Aniobi.
Season 3 of Insecure ended last month on HBO. Rae can also currently be seen in Amandla Stenberg movie, The Hate U Give. In September she hosted Rihanna's fourth Diamond Ball in New York.
