Earlier this week, the mysterious Roseivyou Instagram account popped up leaving many to speculate it was a major hint that a new Beyoncé is on the way; a few guesses being a Netflix special and even a joint album with Kelly Rowland.
With the Queen's love of hints (like 2015 Instagram posts with lemons during a time she would likely have been working on 2016's Lemonade), it made sense to many that something was going on, coupled with a video Kelly Rowland posted of herself singing along to an unreleased track with the lyrics "Rose petals at my feet," and rose emojis in the video's caption just a week before the account showed up. A source close to Beyoncé tells The FADER, however, that this account has nothing to do with the singer.
Fans have been deconstructing the page and its posts in the last few days, figuring out that the vocals in the snippet above are actually from Beyonce's "Grown Woman", despite the account amassing over 23k followers in just a few days.
I guess we can all unfollow now.
