Cardi B shed some light on how crazy the media frenzy to find out what her baby Kulture looks like is, revealing that she has been offered checks in the seven figure range for photos of the newborn. Cardi's comments came while visiting Ebro Darden's Beats 1 radio bloc on Apple Music in promotion of her new single "Money."
The BX rapper first spoke on adjusting the craze that is fame, saying that she's received horrible threats numerous times in recent months, and has even had to hire a private investigator to track down the culprit of "disgusting" text messages she says have hit her phone. "I get so many disgusting text messages, I had to hire a private investigator to figure out who sends me this shit."
She followed that up by insisting her and Offset don't want their child to be seen. "Me and my husband..We just don’t wanna show our baby right now," Cardi said before adding "I got offered seven figures [for baby pictures]."
Cardi also told the host that "Money" was pulled from a batch of bonus tracks that didn't make the cut on her debut album Invasion of Privacy.
"The plan was always to drop a bonus, but I didn’t think I was gonna be so busy doing back and forth things after giving birth," Cardi mentioned before adding that she might drop the songs early next year. "December or January. It's songs that I think are really good that didn’t make the album."
When asked about her recent DJ Snake collab "Taki Taki" with Ozuna and Selena Gomez, Cardi told Ebro that she recorded her verse for the song when she was nine months pregnant. "I love that record so much its not even funny," Cardi said. "I did it literally when I was nine months pregnant."
