Kid Cudi wants to drop a new album next year, promises “tasty features coming soon”
He even hinted at a possible Childish Gambino collab.
Kid Cudi wants to release his next solo album in 2019, the rapper revealed Tuesday on Twitter. In response to a fan asking for new music, Cudi wrote that he's "just started" the follow-up to Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin', and said he's considering "next year sometime" for a release date. In the meantime, he promised "some tasty features comin out soon in the meantime," and appeared open to collaborating with Childish Gambino. Read the tweets below via Billboard.
Cudi, who starred in the film Need For Speed and in HBO's How To Make It In America, told another fan he also has acting projects in the works:
Cudi's solo project comes after the release of Kids See Ghosts, his collaborative project with Kanye West. The duo performed the album's song "Ghost Town" with 070 Shake and Ty Dolla $ign during Kanye's musical performance on Saturday Night Live. Cudi appears on "Lost," the final track on Quavo's debut solo album Quavo Huncho.
