Kanye West is using fashion to encourage black voters to exit the Democratic Party.
According to Spin, the rapper has designed "Blexit" apparel that debuted at the Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit this weekend. The shirt and hat designs read "Blexit" and "We Free."
Although West was not present at the event this weekend, Candace Owens talked about the designs.
“Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” Owens said, according to Page Six. “[West] has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we have needed to have.”
According to Blexit.com, "BLEXIT is a frequency for those who have released themselves from the political orthodoxy. It is a rebellion led by Americans wishing to disrupt the simulation of fear."
"BLEXIT is a renaissance. It is our formal declaration of independence," the website also reads.
West recently appeared at a campaign event and donated $73,540 in support of Democratic Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia.
