Migos member Takeoff released his long-awaited solo album The Last Rocket on Friday, and its tenth song, "Infatuation" has set social media abuzz. Twitter users were taken with the synth-poppy track and the featured artist singing and whispering sweet nothings in its first half. But who is it? According to album credits on TIDAL, an artist named Dayytona Fox is listed as an "Associated Performer" on the song along with Takeoff.
Fox's online profile is scarce: his Instagram profile only contains four posts, two of which are mentions of Takeoff's album and his appearance on "Infatuation." He does have a handful of songs out, most of which can be found on the compilation mixtape WorldDomination2 released by Hip Global in June. His appearance on those songs are much less tender than his flow on "Infatuation," and are reminiscent of the younger crop of melodic rappers like Trippie Red and Smooky Margielaa. Take a listen below.
