The rapper’s festival and album were inspired by Six Flag’s Astroworld, which closed in 2005.

Travis Scott has had an incredible weekend. After performing at the inaugural Astroworld Festival, alongside Lil Wayne, Post Malone and others, Scott was honored by the city of Houston.

ABC13 reports, Mayor Sylvester Turner proclaimed Nov. 18 as "Astroworld Day."

According to the publication, "in front of dozens of students from various schools and organizations, Scott accepted a proclamation recognizing him as an ambassador for the arts, education and youth initiatives.

The rapper’s festival and album were inspired by Six Flag’s Astroworld, which closed in 2005. Scott's Astroworld festival didn't just feature performances, the fans also played games at the event.
