SNL’s latest rap parody mixes Sheck Wes with Ruther Bader Ginsburg
And Pete Davidson, obviously.
It seems that the Saturday Night Live writers have decided that the purest form of comedy lies in parodying viral rap tracks. So far this year we have seen Stanley tribute "Tucci Gang" plus Future plus Lil Wayne rapping about consent, and now there's "RBG Rap."
The clip, which aired on November 17 and can be seen above, features Pete Davidson, Chris Redd, and Kate McKinnon paying tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
They honored the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court to the sound of Sheck Wes’s MUDBOY track “Live Sheck Wes," including lyrics such as "Running the Supreme Court, killing it since '33" and "broken ribs can't stop her, she eats that shit for lunch."
This week's episode was hosted by Steve Carrell and featured musical guest Ella Mai. Anderson .Paak will be the musical guest on the December 1 episode of SNL alongside host Claire Foy. Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On the Basis of Sex is in theaters now.
