U.K. R&B trio 303 are teenagers Io, Maddie, and Chloe. They came together in two stages; first Io and Maddie, both Londoners, got together to perform Mario Winans and TLC classics together. They then looked north, to Newcastle specifically, for 17-year-old Chloe who impressed them by sharing Drake covers online. The group was born on March 30 last year, thus inspiring their three digit name.
"Whisper" takes the same super-melodic approach to their R&B favorites, showcasing all three girls's vocal harmonies and layering hooks on top of one another. The song, about the simple joy of speaking to your crush on the phone, is accompanied by an old-school '90s-style video premiering today via The FADER.
Speaking about the track, 303 said: "'Whisper' is our vibe. We wanted something that we and our friends would listen to, so it felt right to come out with this first. Filming the video was a totally new experience but from the first frame we felt so at ease and had so much fun.
