Tekashi 6ix9ine’s album release postponed indefinitely following arrest
Dummy Boy was due to feature Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.
Tekashi 6ix9ine has had his Dummy Boy album release pushed back "until further notice" following his arrest on firearms and racketeering charges earlier this week. The news was announced via 6ix9ine's Instagram page on Wednesday night. “Due to circumstances beyond our control we have postponed the release of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Dummy Boy until further notice,” the post reads.
The album, due for release on November 30, was due to feature collaorations with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. In her own Instagram post, Minaj claimed that the album release was postponed by "the record company." In an emotional caption she added: “Danny, I love you and am praying for you, your Mother, daughter & her Mom during this time.”
6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, was arrested on November 18 alongside his former manager, Kifano Jordan, plus four assosciates. It is claimed the rapper “participated in the operation and management of” the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Two of the firearms charges Hernandez faces have a maximum sentence of life in prison.
