Janelle Monáe will headline Glastonbury's West Holts stage at this year's festival. The news was announced on Monday morning by festival organizer Emily Eavis during an appearance on BBC 6 Music.
Monáe is the third artist to be announced for Glastonbury 2019 after Stormzy and Kylie Minogue. Stormzy will headline the Friday night of the festival, which takes place in Somerset, England between June 26-30.
Minogue, meanwhile, will perform in the 'legends' position on the Sunday afternoon of the festival. Acts to play the slot in recent years include Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton.
Monáe's latest album, Dirty Computer, was released in 2018 and is nominated for Album of the Year at this year's Grammy Awards. She was also present at Sunday night's Golden Globes. Catch up on all the winners from the night here.
