Sharon Van Etten walks you through her own personal New York in her "Seventeen" video. The clip, which also includes a young actress playing a teen Van Etten, was filmed around the artist's favorite spots in the city, some of which are still in tact and many more which aren't.
"It is with tears in my eyes that I share with you my love letter to NYC," Van Etten wrote on Twitter. "Places I've lived, lost and found myself, let go of and embraced. Thank you to everyone that held me up over the years."
"Seventeen" is the latest single to be lifted from Van Etten's forthcoming album Remind Me Tomorrow, released January 18 via Jagjaguwar. It follows the previously released “Comeback Kid” and “Jupiter 4.”
