Frank Ocean talks politics, drops his skincare routine in rare interview
Ocean is the cover star of GQ’s latest issue.
Frank Ocean is on the cover of GQ's first issue of 2019, granting the publication a rare interview conducted by his blonded radio co-hosts Vegyn and Emmett Cruddas.
In the interview Ocean discusses his decision to cover "Moon River" in 2018 ("I thought the song was small and beautiful and neat") plus giving fans the chance to grab exclusive merch in exchange for voting in November's mid-term elections ("sometimes you have to know what people want and say, 'Let's do a trade.'").
Those wanting to get the Frank Ocean glow were also gifted with his daily routine. Behold:
"I really do believe in a night cream. I feel like men just go to sleep. They may wash their face or they don't even bother—they go to sleep with the day face on. You really need to do a gentle wash and put a night moisturizer on. You can't have the retinol in your creams in the day because it makes you more sun-sensitive, so you wanna throw that on at night. I need the night cream because when I wake up I feel very beautiful, moisturized and ready to have people making eye contact with me, ready to look above my eyebrow, below the eyebrow. [laughs] That's the life hack right there."
Elsewhere in the piece Ocean talks about fashion, new year's reolutions, and going public on Instagram. Sadly, there's no details on new music. Read the full GQ interview here.
