RIMON’s “dust” video is a soundtrack for love gone sour
The Amsterdam-based singer delivers a new visual from her debut EP, BBYGIRL FOCU$.
RIMON is an Eritrian-born, Amsterdam-based singer who's understated but confident take on R&B has earned her a loyal following over the past year. Last November, she delivered her debut EP, BBYGIRL FOCU$, entirely produced by Samuel Kareem. Today, she shares the video for its second single, "dust," which premieres on The FADER.
Like much of her catalog, the track is an intensely personal story, chronicling a relationship that ended in heartbreak. In the video, directed by Yavez Anthonio, RIMON sits alone in an all-white room before enacting revenge on her lover. "Dust' is a continuation of a once very sweet love story that turned out not so sweet in the end," RIMON told The FADER over email. "Its a song showing the pain, rage and confusion that I've experienced when someone who I really loved, broke my heart."
