On songs with frequent collaborator ALLBLACK, Offset Jim has a grounding presence. Where ALLBLACK is brash and outspoken, Jim is understated and subdued, forcing you to pay close attention to his words. The Oakland rappers have undeniable chemistry but Jim is more than capable of carrying on his own. After a handful of guest verses and loose tracks, the 26-year-old is stepping out with his debut EP, No Pressure, which premieres on The FADER today.
Over the course of the project's eight songs, Jim details his highs and lows, wins and losses. Produced by DTB, the EP also features contributions from ALLBLACK, Rexx Life Raj, Jay Anthony, and Tommy Grizzcetti. “I stood on all 10 if I ever get stepped on," Jim told The FADER. "And if rap don’t work, I’ma still trap.” Listen to Offset Jim's No Pressure below.
