Kasey Musgraves stopped in Nashville last night for her "Oh What A World" tour, and Hayley Williams of Paramore joined Musgraves on stage for a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." Watch a video of the very heartwarming duet above via Twitter.
The pair's collaboration may come as a surprise for some, but Musgraves has expressed her appreciation for pop-punk in the past. After Hawthorne Heights asked if she was a fan last year, she responded with some lyrics for their song "Ohio Is For Lovers." She also coined a catchy term for the prospective subgenre of emo and country: "yeemo."
Kacey Musgraves won Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammys for Golden Hour and made herself into a meme afterwards.
