Grimes details “nu-metal” fifth album Miss_Anthrop0cene

Grimes' fifth album is on the horizon. Tonight, the Canadian producer formally revealed more details about the hotly anticipated project. Its called Miss_Anthrop0cene , and "it’s a concept album about the anthropomorphic Goddess of climate Change.” In an Instagram post, Grimes further described the album as "mostly ethereal nu metal."
"It’s possible I will drop an EP or a few more singles of synth-based stuff b4 the album," she wrote in the post. "I know a lot of ppl miss the synths and whatnot." Last week, Grimes offered a new demo called "Pretty Dark," a track which won't appear on Miss_Anthrop0cene. Because the project has been delayed, she suggested that she'll release a string of demos leading up to it's release.
