Over the weekend, Coachella announced that, contrary to him pulling out of a headlining spot earlier this year, Kanye West will indeed perform at this year's festival. Today, Coachella cofounder Paul Tollett spoke with Billboard to further detail the nature, and logistics, of his forthcoming appearance. Perhaps the most noteworthy announcement is that West's "Sunday Service" will take place at 9AM at a location dubbed "The Mountain" inside the Coachella campground.
"It was suggested, 'Why don't we try this in camping, since it's in the morning and all the other campers are already there?'" Tollett told Billboard. “There’s different heights that Kanye is going to play with.” It was reported that West initially left negotiations to headline over stage constraints. Though Tollett doesn't confirm it in the article, it appears as thought the Sunday Service will only take place during the second weekend of the festival. A new batch of tickets will go on sale Friday so that Kanye fans can have a shot at experiencing the divine Yeezus experience.
