Octavian is profiled in the newest issue of i-D magazine. The rising UK rapper, who released his very intriguing debut album SPACEMAN last year, is already gearing up for the release of its follow-up. If it's anything like how he describes it to i-D, listeners are in for a psychedelic ride: “It’s just so weird. Bare weird. Some of it will be hip-hop and rap tunes, some R&B, some weird James Blake piano things, I’ll even be playing guitar.”
Octavian also tells the magazine that much of the album came together in Los Angeles while under the spell of psilocybin. "My friends and bare producers would come to my house and do shrooms and make the biggest tracks," he says. "“Everyone from LA wishes they were from London." There's still no word as to whether or not his latest singles — including his collabs with "Skepta" and A$AP Ferg — will appear on the LP. Read the entire interview here.
