Lil Nas X—master of branding, 21-year-old icon, 6-week Billboard Hot 100 chart topper—is taking his enormous success to the fashion world. As is only right, Lil Nas X has inked a deal with Wrangler to create a capsule collection based entirely around the "Wrangler on my booty" line from the rapper's viral hit "Old Town Road." The collection, which dropped today, features a variety of jeans with, yes, 'Wrangler' on the booty, as well as t-shirts, tiny shorts and a denim shirt.
While a lot of the collection is remarkable simply for the fact that it even exists, there's definitely some gems in there: The denim shirt, which features a graphic of a cowboy and the words 'OLD TOWN ROAD #1' is just cooked enough to be deeply endearing, while the white "Old Town Road" shirt, which says 'Wrangler on my booty' on the back is undeniably cute (and features Lil Nas X's apparent favourite shade of red.) The collab doesn't just exist for vanity: if you buy a pair of the Lil Nas X x Wrangler jeans you can scan the Wrangler logo on your booty and gain access to exclusive behind the scenes content of the "Old Town Road" music video. This is the future, my friends!
