Megan Thee Stallion is Houston’s best new rapper
“If somebody like tries to come for my character, I’m like, ‘You don’t know me.’”
This is the year of Megan Thee Stallion. After a string of freestyles that the internet couldn't deny, Megan released her debut project, Fever, last week to the joy of Hot Girls around the world. And she did it all while finishing up her third year as a a health administration major at Texas Southern University.
The FADER and WAV followed Megan during what may have been the most hectic part of her life thus far in the new doc, Megan Thee Stallion Is Houston's Best New Rapper: The FADER x WAV Present Frequencies. Megan says she's well aware of the rich history of emcees who came before her in Houston. But her strongest influence is her mother, the late Holly Thomas, whose style Megan studied on trips to the studio as a kid. Thomas's passion for music lives on in Megan.
