Watch Father John Misty perform a song he says he wrote for A Star Is Born
Father John Misty wrote a song that was rejected from the Lady Gaga film.
Father John Misty, never one to shy away from trying to inexplicably fuse together wildly separate parts of pop culture, performed a song supposedly written for Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born at a show in Minneapolis. As Vulture points out, he introduced the song by telling the crowd he was “trying to remember [his] Star Is Born song.”
There is some precedent for this — Father John has previously worked with Lady Gaga on her record Joanne — but this is the first time Father John has mentioned being enlisted to write a song for the Oscar-winning film. Listen to the song above, around the 80-minute mark.
