Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce, an actor in TV shows and films such as Jessie, Descendants, Good Luck Charlie, and more, has been pronounced dead at the age of 20, a representative has confirmed. Boyce died in his sleep over the weekend due to a preexisting ailment.
“[Boyce] passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated,” the Boyce family announced in a statement. “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
Disney CEO Bob Iger wrote a short tribute to Boyce on Twitter, writing “The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of Cameron Boyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die.”
