Whitney share breezy new single “Valleys (My Love)”
The Chicago band’s second album, Forever Turned Around, is out on August 30.
Falsetto-fueled Chicago indie band Whitney's second album, Forever Turned Around, is out on August 30. They've already shared two songs from the record — the mellow-sounding but ennuied "Giving Up" and the mostly acoustic "FTA," which will make it onto the album in a different form — and now they're back with a third. “Valleys (My Love)” is, like most of Whitney's best songs, breezy enough on first listen but more than a little melancholy when you focus in on Julien Ehrlich's lyrics: "I feel like I’m holding on / To a place in your heart that’s long gone."
Watch the video for the new single, directed by Nick Woytuk and shot in Portland, Oregon, at the top of the page. Whitney will head out on an extensive tour in support of Forever Turned Around this weekend. Find those dates below.
