Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con was a busy one for Marvel Studios, as they announced 10 new films and shows set to release over the next three years. The studio also announced that Avengers: Endgame had officially become the highest-grossing film ever, surpassing Avatar which held the title for a decade.
The 2009 James Cameron film previously held the record with $2.788 billion in global box office sales, with the Marvel blockbuster surpassing it with approximately $2.79 billion this past weekend. Cameron now holds the second and third spot with Avatar and Titanic, with another Marvel hit Avengers: Infinity War rounding out the top 5.
