Watch Denzel Curry and Slowthai perform their new collab at Lollapalooza
Drop it now.
This past weekend marked Lollapalooza's annual descent onto Grant Park in Chicago for four days of high-wattage performances and a bit of special guest action. There was a Chance the Rapper and Death Cab for Cutie moment, 21 Savage and Childish Gambino did "Monster," and Ariana Grande brought out Social House to debut their new single "Boyfriend."
Maybe the most rilled up surprise of the weekend, though, was when Denzel Curry brought out Slowthai to perform their unreleased collaboration. Preceded by chaotic string arrangement, the performance incited a bit of madness at the festival — including, hilariously enough, an appearance from a Pope impersonator.
This isn't the first time the two have performed the as-yet untitled track — they initially debuted it at the O2 Ritz in Manchester back in March, and brought it out again at Glastonbury. The good news is that it's definitely being released at some point in time; Curry's label Loma Vista tweeted a bit of footage of the performance with the hashtag #whensthedrop. While we wait for the studio version, check out their clip below, and watch the full performance over here.
