The 1975 have released a new song, "People," with an accompanying video. The spiky rock song is the second to be lifted from the band's next album, Notes On A Conditional Form, and follows last month’s self-titled track featuring activist Greta Thunberg.
The "People" video is directed by Matthew Healy, Warren Fu, and Ben Ditto, and shows The 1975 performing the song on top of projections of Healy's lyrics. The same sense of an impending apocalypse that ran through "The 1975" with Thunberg is present throughout, as Healy sings "Wake up it's Monday morning, and we've only got 1000 left. If the end of the world isn't your thing then simply appreciate the extreme Brian Molko-vibe of Healy's look in the video.
