As Loose Buttons, Eric Nizgretsky, Zack Kantor, Manny Silverstein, and Adam Holtzberg make thoughtful, sun-dappled garage rock within the tight confines of New York CIty. The band is currently gearing up for the release of their as-yet untitled debut album, and today, they're offering the first song, “Strangers In A Nightclub,” a swirling observation of the shadowy figures that drift in and out of a night on the town. Speaking with The FADER, Nizgretsky further elaborated on the kind of evenings that inspired the song:
“When I need to step away from myself for a moment, I like to get lost in people-watching these absolutely one-of-a-kind, 'only in New York' characters who seem to frequent the same spots night after night. Without sounding too Into The Wild, it’s the best tool I’ve come across for escapism. Ultimately, I think this song is a bit of a convoluted ‘thank you' to those strangers for letting me crash their party.”
