Watch Nilüfer Yanya’s poised Tiny Desk Concert

Nilüfer Yanya quietly released one of the best albums of the year in March with the kaleidoscopic Miss Universe, and you should absolutely listen to it again right now. But first, watch the West London-born singer-songwriter's new Tiny Desk Concert, recorded alongside saxophonist Jazzi Bobbi, bassist Lucy Lu, and drummer Ellis Dupuy. She opened with "Baby Luv" from the 2018 EP Do You Like Pain? before moving onto a one-two of Miss Universe cuts in "The Unordained" and "Angels," leaving enough space for her poised vocals to shine through as they do on record.
