A new report from The Blast states that Kanye West has decided to settle his lawsuit against publisher EMI after months of litigation. According to the court documents obtained by The Blast, all claims have been dismissed and the case will be closed within 90 days. West first launched lawsuits against EMI and Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella in a bid to terminate his contracts; according to the initial lawsuit, EMI’s original publishing contract with West forbade him from ever retiring and deprived him of the ‘breathing period’ mandated by California labor laws through enforcing a contract for eight years longer than is allowed.
