Robert Glasper recruits Denzel Curry, Rapsody, YBN Cordae, and more for Fuck Yo Feelings project
The highly collaborative new mixtape was recorded in just 48 hours.
Jazz pianist Robert Glasper has dropped a sprawling and eclectic new mixtape recorded in the space of just two days at a New York studio. Fuck Yo Feelings is the result of the sporadic process and features contributions from Yasiin Bey, Herbie Hancock, Andra Day, YBN Cordae, Terrace Martin, Baby Rose, Bilal, Buddy, Denzel Curry, Mick Jenicks, SiR, Rapsody and more.
Fuck Yo Feelings is the first time since 2016 that Glasper has released new music under his own name. In recent years he has worked with Common and Karriem Riggins as August Greene and also released music with R+R=NOW (with Terrace Martin, Christian Scott, Derrick Hodge, Taylor McFerrin, and Justin Tyson). Most recently he contributed to Brittany Howard solo album Jaime.
Glasper starts a month-long residency at New York's Blue Note Jazz Club tonight, October 3. The mammoth residency will take in 56 shows in 28 days, including two sets each night.
