Will Smith is a savvy Hollywood operator, His Instagram presence is legendary, with his posts boasting higher production values than your average Netflix movie. Getting your numbers up is big business, too. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson makes a reported $1M per movie purely to promote his roles online.
With that in mind it's no surprise to see Smith expanding his portfolio into new apps. On Wednesday night Smith arrived on TikTok, the platform beloved by teens and the launchpad for viral hit singles including "Old Town Road."
Set to Lecrae & Andy Mineo's "Coming In Hot," Smith's first post is typically outlandish. A man flicks through photos of Smith on his phone before plucking the Men In Black and Bad Boys actor out of the device and into reality. “I guess I’m on TikTok now. That was weird,” Smith says to the camera.
Check the clip out above and remember, nothing marks the death-knell of a social media platform like your parents' arrival.
