Hop Along bandleader Frances Quinlan has announced details of her debut solo LP under her own name. Likewise is due out on January 31 via Saddle Creek, and the news comes alongside a new single, "Rare Thing," streaming below.
Recorded at Headroom Studios in Philadelphia with Hop Along's Joe Reinhart, Likewise has Quinlan wandering into new territory, adding strings, auto-harp, a bunch of synths, and digital beats behind her distinctive voice. “Working with Joe on this made me able to better see that the guitar is just one vehicle," Quinlan said in a press release. "There are so many others to explore."
