Hello Yello is a band from Oakland consisting of Jaden (bass), his brother Dylan (vocals and guitar), and their friend Martin (drums). Together, the trio make music that feels nostalgic and forward-thinking all at once. Though they're all young (their ages range from 20 to 22), the group's songs have a maturity beyond the years of the bandmembers.
Following Love Wins, their debut EP released last March, Hello Yello return today with a two new songs, "Lifeguard" and "I Really Loved You," packaged as My Life As A Teenage Robot. While "Lifeguard" feels like riding with all the windows down on a hot summer day, "I Really Loved You" cools the pace down and tells a story of relationship gone astray.
"We made these songs for the people that have been riding for us since Love Wins dropped," Dylan told The FADER over email. "Album coming next year, for now here’s a taste.“
