Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" has officially reached Diamond status, Billboard reports. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has confirmed that the song and its many remixes, including one featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has sold 10 million units. This landmark achievement is the first song of the year to reach the milestone and also the fastest of all time.
Other tracks in recent history to be certified Diamond include Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk," "Baby" by Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and "Poker Face."
Earlier this year "Old Town Road" spent a record breaking 19 weeks at No.1, eventually being dislodged by Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy." Lil Nas X subsequently released the 7 EP featuring follow-up single "Panini."
