Maryland rapper Ciscero's new song "Good To Know" is a joyous yet effortlessly smooth romp, with featured artists Masego, Kp and Abriia helping create the sensation of a fantastic party. The music video, directed by Adam Hahn, premieres today on The FADER, and follows the song's lead creating a DMV-specific scenario for a song that's unapologetic about its roots. The scenario is a retro party at a roller rink, specifically Crystals Skating Rink in Maryland. A bunch of local artists make cameos including Foggie Raw, Black Fortune, Manny Wellz, Rezt, Mista Selecta, Domo, and Shogun — they all come together to create a whirlwind of good fashion and music.
“When I made this video," Ciscero told us via email, "I really wanted to showcase some of the culture of what we get into in the area. A lot of people her grew up skating at Crystals Skating Rink, from the hoods to the suburbs, and I feel like we don’t see enough of black people just dancing and having fun. Like, damn brah, we do that shit too."
