Higher Power are all out of hope in “Low Season” video
The British rock band know what it’s like to be at your worst.
Started in Leeds, England in 2015, Higher Power have been blending shoegaze, grunge, punk, and thrash, touring with other bands like Turnstile, Angel Du$t, and Vein. Today, the band debuts the video for their new single "Low Season" which was inspired by the dark places many of us have fallen into for various reason and can't pick ourselves up.
Singer Jimmy Wizard explained via email: “The crazy thing about this song is I wrote the lyrics this exact time last year. We had just got back from tour to winter in England and I was feeling lost and the weather was not helping me being stuck inside going crazy. This song is just about that dark feeling of hopelessness winter sometimes brings when it feels like you will never see light again. Making the video was super fun, though everyone on the floor in the orgy of bodies is one of my best friends so it was super hard to not laugh when filming this. I will always smile when I see those shots and all of my friends faces.”
Higher Power will release their debut album 27 Miles Underwater via Roadrunner Records on January 24. You can purchase merch and pre-save the album here.
