Noname may be eyeing the exit from the music industry after the release of her upcoming second studio album Factory Baby. The Chicago rapper took to Twitter on Wednesday, writing that her "heart isn’t fully in it anymore" and decrying the "really fucking unhealthy" state of the modern relationship between artist and fan.
"I’m just tryna read and organize," Noname wrote, a reference to her ongoing book club. She concluded the statement by implying that she'd quit music following the release of Factory Baby: "After factory baby it’s✌🏾." Read the full tweet below:
To be honest with you my heart isn’t fully in it anymore. The relationship between “artist” and “fan” is really fucking unhealthy. Yall like what y’all like and hate what y’all hate. And I don’t wanna be on either side. I’m just tryna read and organize. After factory baby it’s✌🏾 https://t.co/J5xhFwlHrw
