Gorillaz, the long-running virtual pop group co-created by Blur's Damon Albarn and cartoonist Jamie Hewlett, have announced their first feature film. Gorillaz: Reject False Icons is a documentary directed by Denholm Hewlett, filmed over the course of three years, two albums (Humanz and The Now Now) and one extensive world tour. A few of the artists from the band's impressive catalog of collaborators will make appearances, including Vince Staples, Pusha-T, Danny Brown, Yasiin Bey, and many more.
Gorillaz: Reject False Icons will be released in theaters for one night only on December 16. Tickets go on sale November 27 here. Check out the film's poster below. Last August, Albarn said he had a new Gorillaz album ready to be recorded.
